Woohoo, P's birthday gifts are here! I already picked up one set, the other is in Romulus. I'm heading out after work to pick them up. A kind of sucky thing happened today, I accidentally threw away my labret stud after it fell out during lunch today. I've reluctantly decided not to replace it. I liked it, but I never wore anything but a tiny, clear retainer in it. It's always irritated my gums, gotten in the way, and fallen out. Between the ornamental uselessness and the irritation, I can't rationalize the cost of yet another replacement. I think this would be my sixth replacement purchased. Oh well. Does this make me old?
The PC delivery went worse than I thought. A wanted me to go out with her to buy the cablemodem router, and we ended up going to five places until we found a decent one. It was completely plug&play, which was good. Preparing the PC, however, was a tremendous pain in the ass. Everyone in the family _had_ to have their own logins, with their own user profiles and all. I struggled with sharing their printer, as the driver would not install without HP's setup utility, which didn't include a network mapped printer as an option. I finally installed a generic DeskJet 660 driver and called it a day. The daughter was immensely irritating, I think that was the worst part. The son was less irritating, but he wanted me to be very, very clear about his preferences in fantasy novels and bad anime fanart. It's a shame suh a bad mother fucker of a PC is going to waste on that family, but it's their machine now.

Does that make you old? No, it means you're thinking practically. Nothing wrong with that. I've been thinking the same way about my piercing because everytime I stick a new stud in it it gets infected and I clean it and the jewelry everyday, so I've been thinking of letting it go.

Speaking of PC builds... With me starting College soon, I'd like to get a system built myself. Might you be interested?

Joel asked me to relay a message for him, I'm not sure if you've talked to him but he says " He's not in jail."
