Tomatoes are supposed to be less crunchy than apples, especially in spring and summer, right? If so, then what the hell was that awful thing on my sandwich? I'm convinced fast food was created by those pod people aliens.

damn

It was what I refer to as a "ass tomatoe"

They take these green not ripe tomatoes and ship to the stores... on the way to the stores they are heat treated to be red.

A ripe tomatoe is only good for a day or three before it goes bad.....

Re: damn

I'm used to the normal-grade nasty hard tomatoes you get on fast food, but this was actually hard to chew. The damn thing kept pulling out of the sandwich because I had only applied enough pressure to cut a bite out of the sandwich around it. We're talking balsa wood consistency.

my dear arcsine, this is why you shouldn't be eating fast food. ;)

My job leaves me with no viable alternative. It's either eat out of the vending machine, fast food, walk/drive half a mile to the cafeteria in the company building up the street, or pack my lunch like a gradeschooler. I always hated the same old sandwiches and chips with a little carton of milk thing. I could go to a sit-down for lunch every day, but that's expensive and usually takes longer than I'm technically allowed for lunch.

Indeed. How goes life, captain?

I've done the snack thing, and it really throws me off, makes me tired and grumpy. I think I'm just stuck eating populus chow.

I can get to jiji again! but no new email in there yet when I know there should be. (comment notification for one)

and I heard from a friend of mine last night that apparently your server is going to have the problems of last night occuring more often now. :/ (I don't remember details atm, but I can find out if you want.)

Re: psst

Yeah, I'd love to know why someone who doesn't even have an account is aware of problems I'm not. Comcast just switched subnets, that's all.

He was talking about comcast in general.

Re: psst

What, that they're going to start shuffling IPs all the time now, or just while they're adding former attbi networks?

Re: psst

well, from the way he made it sound last night, the shuffle will happen monthly. not sure for how long though.

Re: psst

I think it just _did_ happen, which is what threw us off track for a while.

Re: psst

Cripes. I'll keep track of the DHCP lease, then. One of these days I'm going to find a nice dedicated host for jiji.
