Well, my hosting company _finally_ replaced their failing Squirrelmail install with SQWebmail, the package that comes with Courier, which they already had installed. It's ugly, but it works. I updated the login for muricated webmail, it should work great now.

Squirrelmail works incredibly well. Far better than SQWebMail, in my opinion. What version of Squirrelmail were they using? I've got it running on nuxx.net and have used it for years at past providers without issue.

I'm not sure, I can't even log on to it any more. All I know is that it was painfully slow, and that they said they did everything they could think of to get it to run faster. I agree, it's a great program, they just broke it.

Oh, that sucks... Personally, I love it. Actually, because it's IMAP, you can run it on your own webserver and just point it at their IMAP box. As long as you know the config of it, it should be fine...

I bet their box was just hammered or something, which is what was making it run slowly.

That's what they did, on it's own dedicated box with a private link between it and the IMAP server. As for it being hammered, I do remember mention of some jackass using the IMAP server to transfer huge files back and forth all day, but I thought they put a stop to it. I mean I bought my contract with them _because_ they run Squirrelmail and use several DNSBL lists, but lately I've been getting spam, too. Argh.
