Wow, I think I found a place worse than the City Club forums...

The LJ support board. Guh. After reading just a few of the requests, I'm orders of magnitude more pleased with my average user. Compared to some of those no-talent fucktarps my users are smart, patient, and generally pretty good at knowing the difference between "it's broken" and "I don't know how to use it". That's not to say I don't get a few doozies once in a while (like that bizotch who kept harping at me about how slow the NAS was after I told her 5 times I am not on the team that fixes it), but I'm almost feeling proud of my userbase again, since I moved out of my old building.

Do you know what's evil though, when you're users are actually computer smart and are trying to tell you how to do your job. I hate that.

Guh, that's why I avoid the programmer's building like the plague. They're intimately familliar with the inner workings of the OS, but still can't seem to install a packaged application.

Yep. Here they usually call me over to tell me something doesn't work. I tell them to reboot and everything is fine. They always forget the power of a reboot.
