[status |blahblah]

Well, I've now been in a console launch line. I was about six people behind the last guy who got a Wii. God damn it.

In other news, since I got up at about 6 fucking AM to do this, I decided to drive around a little and see if any other places might have better luck. Nope. I did, however, see an entire family in 30 degree weather with no coats, several children with fucking TOWELS wrapped around them for warmth, buying a 32" TV. I fucking hate people.

Oh, and my brand new wireless router was broken this morning. Before you say anything, I was using WPA2 and MAC whitelisting. From what I hear there is a line of CARS around the entire stripmall at Best Buy, so there's no way in hell I'm going anywhere near there for several days. Eventually, I just gave up and bought FFXII, I'll play that until this mess settles down.

Oh, and there was no turkey day. There was spinach bread, lobster thermidor, chicken portobello, Fife Zin, and crazy amaretto rice krispie treat cake day. Much better.

Nah, we went to Weber's. I thought about cooking, but wanted food that's just too time-consuming for two people, and there was question of having dinner with friends that wasn't set in stone.

We'll be at Lab tonight for Ty's 80s thing, not sure if either of us is going to feel up to coming out tomorrow night as well. Still, we'd love to see you too!

Well I'm only in town tomorrow night, but if not maybe I'll catch you next time I'm in town which will be between X-mas and New Years.

"so there's no way in hell I'm going anywhere near there for several days"

Knowing holiday shopping, you might have to wait until Dec 28th before things calm down.

Goddamnit. You don't have any recommendations for a good wireless router with a decent feature set? Nothing too pro-grade, but definitely not the $40 Best Buy special.

I haven't seen anything lately that sticks out. All I know is that I like Linksys (owned by Cisco). I've had a few of their routers and they've all worked pretty good. I usually only got rid of them to upgrade to like wireless or use with Vonage.

Heh, this one _is_ a Linksys. I'm thinking about 3Com's OfficeConnect line, I already own a router and gigabit switch from them and they've held up to a whole hell of a lot of abuse.

Nah, I imagine I just picked the wrong one, there's tons of happy Linksys owners out there or Cisco wouldn't have bought them out.
