The Veritable TechNinja
Okay, never _ever_ believe mapblast. Says the drive will take 16 hours. I figure "well shit, that means we can make it in like 12!" Uh, NO. Try 18. The fucking snowstorm on the way out wasn't the worst part, nor was the caffeine overdose, or the comedown afterwards. No, it was the last five miles, in New Orleans itself, driving at less than 5 miles an hour, because there was some glass on the road. FKHJDIUARUREIROU$(*)#%U)(*U#*$#|
But we're here.
Crashed the very moment we got in the room, woke up about 6 hours later, got some food and some Tylenol for our blaring evil headaches. Spent some time just wandering aimlessly around the quarter, visited some places I've really missed. like Rock & Roll Records, for instance. I picked up some of the slickest vinyl there it. A promo of Nitzer Ebb's Belief, Pankow Shows You Their Dongs, two ClockDVA singles, SoundMirror and The Hacker, Die Warzau's Welcome to America single, and the piece de resistance, LATOUR'S PEOPLE ARE STILL HAVING SEX. A whole EP worth of mixes, including a clean vocal track for easy remixing. Mmmmm...
Planning on hitting the Crow Bar (formerly the Crystal, at least last time I was here...) tonight, heading out of the ludicrous sales tax zone to pick up the carton of smokes we didn't have the will to get along the way, and most likely do a little more shopping. Decided to nix going to the play we were going to see today, no energy. Ennh, that's why it's a vacation.
Glad to hear you're having fun Kevin, steal some Mardi Gras beads fer me! :P Seriously though, you and P. just relax and enjoy living for awhile. Keep us informed of how things are going!
Adam, mardi gras is the root of all evil, beads are the harbingers of that terrible evil. NO.
gah! but at least you made it, which is what matters.
keep on spending money and having fun. ;)
Wait 'till you hear my powernoise mix.
Glad your having fun! Represent D town for us!
Studio will be set up soon and you will be coming over!
Badass, I'll bring along my phono stage and turntable, so we can just lift the "Acapella mix" off this LP instead of trying to do it with nothing but an EQ.
Glad to hear you got there safe and sound. Say hi to P. for me.
Jiji says live it up while you can. She's already formulating plans to make your life hell when you finally come home. Muahahahaha!
Just kidding. She's fine. I hung out and played with her the other day until she tired of me. She had plenty of food and water. I'll probably check on her again tomorrow or Wednesday.
When are you two crazy kids coming home again?
Jiji is always plotting my demise, that's standard operating procedure. We'll be back on the 22nd, late. Thanks again for house-sitting, how's Ico?
