Well, the night went as good as can be expected, despite slight technical difficulties. Must focus on what deck I'm on at the moment, had comp 1 in deck 2 and comp 2 in deck 1, &c... Ennh, worked it out okay. Got caught without headphones for the second set, but I was the one who forgot to bring a mini-phono to phono adapter for the 'phones I brought... Whatever, it worked. Here's the list:

Hate Dept. - Release It (Empirion Mix)
Galan Pixs - Use The Flashlight
Covenant - Riot
Cubanate - Oxyacetylene
Stromkern - Im Traum (Analog Mix)
Non-Agression Pact - Data Rape
KLOQ - What You Are
Oomph! - Fieber (And One Mix)
Birmingham 6 - The Deadliest Beat (Razed In Black Mix)
Aeric - Toute Facon (Miss Kittin and the Hacker Showgirls Mix)
Mindless Self Indulgence - Unsociable
Chemlab - Suicide Jag

Einsturzende Neubauten - Yu Gung
Das Ich - He Mensch
Nitzer Ebb - Murderous (Razormaid! Mix)
Haujobb - Maternal Instinct
Die Krupps - Fatherland (Sisters of Mercy Mix)
Die Warzau - Pig City
Acumen - Fuckface
16 Volt - Two Wires Thin
KMFDM - Sucks (ArcSine's Sucks To Be You Mix)
The Strand - Chicks Suck (Ass Mix)
Goteki - Suck (Balls Mix by Arcsine)
Consolidated - You Suck (Suck to Blow Mix)
Dennis Leary - Life's Gonna Suck

So um... Yeah. I've got the hots for their booth setup, even if it isn't my ideal setup (Denon/Marantz decks, Vestax PCV-275 mixer). It's some kind of Pioneer setup with inaccurate BPM counters and CD scratch capabilities, and one big-ass mixer. The crossfader was _perfect_, though. Hard to get the levels right as the booth is way up above the floor in a corner. Overall, it's a whole different level from the Lab. The resident DJs were pretty cool, got to talk at length with S the lighting guy, made quite a few musical suggestions for him to check out. Heh, mixed the Cure's Jumping Someone Else's Train in to EN's Yu-Gung, and it sounded good. Had plenty of fun, can't wait for my next night. I'm thinking I want to do another Lab night with P, then come back to Spiral to really play with that equipment.
Gee, lots of faces I didn't see.
Hey, I'm not at work. Cool. Got to pack P up today, probably won't get a chance to start Judo. Oh well, time for breakfast.

Didn't bother with the CD scratch, but I did discover just how sensitive the play/pause button was when I shuddered through the first few seconds of Riot, came out with a similar effect. As for playing You Suck, I even mixed in a couple more samples. Next time I play that place, though, I'm bringing my vinyl. Technics 1200Mk2s with Concorde cartridges. Mmmmmmm....

You were right about one thing, the "Suck" set was very funny, I was impressed that you went the length to incorporate those samples into it.

Sorry I didn't go, captain, but I've been busy and such. (you know the score.) But you and I have to do lunch again soon.
