Nah, you still post once in a while, good playlists that make me feel like my scene isn't falling apart.

Re:

Well, I appreciate your compliment on my playlists, but in my eyes the scene IS falling apart.. at least it is here in the wang of ameikkka.

Heh, wang of Amerika *snicker*
But anyway, that was a topic of a conversation P and I just had on the way to her work. The scene is dissipating, it's lost it's identity and integrity. Some may assert that the influences seen lately from other scenes and music genres is a good thing, but that only means that it is less "itself" than it used to be. I went to the E-Craft show on Thursday, and noticed something. E-Craft has to be one of the last hard-edged Industrial bands to achieve public recognition, and even their music bears influences that make it less Industrial. That, and the insurgence of "crowd participation" in concerts. I half expected them to spout phrases like "c'mon party people, make some noise". Is that what we are now, "party people"? Soon enough, I think our music is going to simply become what it was loosely defined as when it started appearing in popular music catalogs, a genre of electronica. It's getting harder and harder to discern Industrial from Jungle any more.
