Go out and buy Beyond Good & Evil right now. It really whips the llama's ass. The stealth aspects of Metal Gear * and Splinter Cell, the platforming aspects of Jak and Ratchet & Clank, the roleplaying and visual aspects of Final Fantasy X (well, maybe not as in-depth), and the main character is a girl who's neither obscenely buxom nor a dawdling, useless accessory. It's a bit short, I'd say about 16-20 hours the first time, the site says it has been beaten in 3 1/2 hours. I can't say the rest of the characers are particularly likable, it's kind of like FF9 though, as in the annoying characters don't interact too much to offset the game's predominant coolness.
One thing I've noticed, though. Ubisoft is a French company, their games are developed by Frenchmen. This XMas season, they're releasing Thirteen, Rainbox Six 3, Prince of Persia (what a shittly license, I might add), among others. Ubisoft = Frogs taking over the world? Since when did these guys come in to magnificent power, while Square got bought out by the company that put out Dragon Warrior?!?
Also, please make the world stop flying randomly about while I struggle to hold on to my sense of continuity.
