[waveform |Air - All I Need]

Because of some sloppy-ass dirt trucker, I now have a 2-foot-long crack across my windshield, right across my field of view. It radiated halfway across the glass because of one stone chip. At first, I thought it was some kind of streamer, like a piece of pom-pom, because it didn't show up until much later. I actually reached out through my window to peel it off. The glass cut on my finger pretty much threw me toward the truth. I was pretty much convinced I was borked. I called my insurance, they don't cover windshield replacements. Bastages. I thought these things cost like $400-$600 to replace. Nope. I'm paying $170 for Safelite to come out to my work and do it while I geek out upstairs. Of course, both rear window motors are still temperamental, one rear seatbelt won't retract, my front right turn signal keeps burning out (literally, the socket plastic fucking burns), and I still have to burn midgrade fuel to keep from misfiring, which still happens on rare occasion. I need new spark plugs, wires, and a screw to hold down one of my ignition coils. I need to clean my air filter again. All in all, my car's doing pretty good as considering I've got 150,000 miles on it. I'm planning to drive it until the engine mounts rust off, then dump it and buy one of these.

I still want an RX-7 or RX-8. 'Course, an RX-8 runs for 30K well equipped, and I'm not really well enough off to afford that. Not right now, anyway.

You can get a '93 with reasonable miles for under $15K, but for that price you can get a 3KGT VR4, newer, with less miles.
