That's the stock HSF and thermal pad, after being on for more than 72 hours. The ambient case temperature is actually higher, thanks to my Raptor.

Also, tonight's the night for another noctronica, so come on out and have a good time. It's free, the drinks are cheap, and it's a chance to prove that the Lab is a decent place.

Which cpu is this? It sounds like it's one of the new thermal monitor 2 core. Those run about 30 degrees cooler :) My new 550j should run at a comprable temperature when my stock atx (instead of the btx fan that it shipped with) arrives.

It's an SL7PX, with the cooler core. I still have to get my ambient down past 100degF due to that damn Raptor. I should've known it would be a problem, but so far it's 30 degrees below the redline for all my components.
