Life lessons are never easy, and a lot of the time you realize that you should have seen them coming. Today, that lesson is very simple, and something I'd become too complacent to remember that I already knew. There are a lot of bad people in this world. I'm normally an accountable, agreeable person. I've got my stand on things and I stick to them. However, if someone brings their self-serving agenda to my doorstep and fucks with my life, I'm the worst person of all. I'm Superfly TNT, I'm the guns of the Navarone. It's my prerogative that everyone should be able to live their own lives and be happy. I'm not in to exerting control over anyone, and I'm not in to imposing philosophy on anyone who's of a different mind. However, there's a lot of people in this world and they all have their own minds. If we're ever going to be able to live our lives, we've got to keep others in mind. Forsake that, and I'm the one you'll be answering to. Expect nothing less from anyone else, and you'll never have to own up to anything you do. It's a nice way to live. Sure, we all fuck up from time to time, but believe me when I say this. Owning up to your own failings and to those you've failed is a lot easier than owning up to me when you try to get away with it.

There are a lot of bad people, but in my experience it is the good people that make bad choices the ones that end up hurting you the most... because nine times out of ten these are the people we let into our hearts.

Interesting life we lead, huh.

But are those people who get inside our hearts only to tear them apart really good people?

Well, that depends on how you describe good and how you describe bad. If someone gets into your heart with the preconceived purpose of tearing it appart, then yeah, they are not a "good" people. However, most of the time the peole we let into our hearts we do because they truly want to love us and we want to love them. They don't 'want' to hurt us, but in the end, due to poor choices, they end up doing it.

And that's what this post is about, what happens when we fuck up. It hurts the ones we love, and that's why love is so important. Without love, we cann't be close to other people. Hand in hand, though, is owning up to our mistakes. That's the other half of the bridge between people. Without accountability, we can't justify love. Without love, accountability means nothing. I think anyone can be accountable, but it takes something more to love. That's where a person's worth is found.
