Ooh, Gilmore's a good idea. Heard about it, never been.

And don't worry, we'll be doing our share of speeding. You've never tried to keep up with us on our way home from Lab.

Tons to do there. What are you up for? If you wanna check out City Club Jr., Try NEO. I've heard Exit is cool, but it looked like a biker bar when I passed by it.

If you wanna got to some cool techno clubs, try Excalibur.

If you wanna eat good, try any of the pizzeria uno franchises (Uno, Dos and Tres). They're only a block or two apart from one another. Ed Debevics is an interesting place too. Very nostalgic and very 50s. Lots to do on the miracle mile, tons of cool museums there.

Not much to do on the way there. Smokes are cheapest in Indiana though.

Thanks for the suggestions, but...

We've been to Neo and Exit before, walked/drove all over the damn place for food and shopping; kinda looking for something new to do around the area. We've each been to Chicago numerous times, and if we're going to go to the Grendel show, we may as well stick around the area for a decent reason...the problem is coming up with a decent reason.

Exit _is_ a biker bar, only it's inhabited by cliquey gothish folk. The DJ played Korn while we were there. Neo is cool, but they have a fog machine big enough to use at a club 10x it's size. I requested Chemlab in the middle of a synthpop set, it got played, and _nobody stopped dancing_. I didn't know whether to be impressed by their open-mindedness or disgusted by their nihilism, but mostly I just danced very angrily.

As for food, a lot of our hopes have been squashed while eating there. There is _no_ good sushi in Chicago. I think we went to Ed Debevics and liked it. New Orleans or Hawaii are much better foodie destinations.
