The Veritable TechNinja
[waveform |Melotron - Wir Sind!]

I need to put together a new DJ demo, my existing one's newest track is the VNV mix of Destillat.

EDIT: Here's my first draft playlist, what do you think?

1. And One - Deutschmashine
2. E-Craft - Electrocution Ayria - My Revenge on the World
3. Combichrist - This is TBM Now plus dumb dub-in!
4. Melotron - Wir Sind!
5. Chemlab - Exile on Mainline (Extended Dance Hall mix)
6. Rob Zombie - Dragula (Charlie Clouser mix)
7. Curve - Chinese Burn (Lunatic Calm)
8. Miss Kittin - Professional Distortion (Modeselektor's Big Muff)
9. Apoptygma Berserk - Soultaker (Outlaw mix by ArcSine)
10. RevCo - DoYaThinkI'mSexy
11. Sheep on Drugs - X-Lover
12. KMFDM - Mysterious Ways
13. God Lives Underwater - Fame
14. Siouxsie & the Banshees - Cities in Dust Tones on Tail - Go!

ANOTHER EDIT: Revised the playlist (Mark's right, that's just _too_ club friendly), here's the MP3 (60 megs, dialup=die).

Siouxsie?! oh my, its our choice of music in high school all over again.

On the flipside, I have been listening to a lot of that stuff again lately. Remember Lestat? Deine Lakaien? all that Projekt type stuff is resurfacing...

I wanted to show my adaptability, go from Combichrist to Rob Zombie to Sixousie on one CD and have it all sound good.

There's been a lull in etherbliss lately (Hooverphonic, Massive Attack, and Portishead haven't released anything this year), leaving a lot of atmospheric music fans dry. Projekt has put out some new music lately thanks to the money they got by signing Android Lust.

that and of course Dead Can Dance reuniting (wish they were playing closer to Detroit)....

I figure, with any luck we'll get Bel Canto to America within the next 10 years. If they're still around in 10 years.

Hate to tell you, but Bel Canto released one album with mediocre US sales in 2003, has done nothing since.

yeah. Sad thing is, Dorothy's Victory was probably their best album since Shimmering IMO.

I think the distribution and promotion of said album was just poor. But then, thats just me.

To be honest, I never heard it. I take it it's more "organic" than Rush?

mmm, I guess so. Rush has its organic moments too. I would say less experimental and noisy; more somber and a little folkesque.
