The Veritable TechNinja
Anyone in retail-land work with a POS/inventory/accounting suite that they really like? Specifically, one for small-to-medium businesses that uses well-integrated inventory systems? I know of a few garage-ware apps and a few ÜberCorp packages, but nothing in between. Preferably, something that plays nice with Symbol and/or Intermec peripherals? Apparently Microsoft makes one that looks good, but licenses at over $1,000 per register without an OS. Damn.

we are customizing starlims.
pretty much anything will work with symbol tech, as its just acting like a keyboard wedge, and if you have the right kind of scanner you can read any type of barcode 1D & 2D on the market.

Coo, good to know it's not as much of a nightmare of proprietary tech as I'd thought. Specifically hoping to integrate the ruggedized PDAs that Symbol makes for inventory control.
