[waveform |...a happy runic rhyme, to the rolling of the xylophones]

Whee, I love being on hold... I just can't wait for that "next representative to assist me"... But what I don't understand is the xylophone music. Uhhh... Why? I've heard bad Muzak-ated oldies, I've heard poorly-tuned radio stations, I've heard absolute silence. But xylophones?

DOH! Know that feeling.. I sat on hold with my credit card company for ages on Monday.. note.. Never try to call National City at 5:30..

Does it seem like that music is unusually loud?

I stayed on for about an hour and a half. Another note : NCO Bill Payment Center does not intend to "give your call the rapid attention it deserves". This music wasn't particularly loud, persay, but they had three different break-in announcer recordings telling me to keep holding that constantly interrupted eachother.

hehe.. I love the little product announcements.. or "new" services they are offering.. Nothing like a captive audience.. I wonder if anyone on hold actually orders the stuff they were forced to listen to..

I like the "Please be patient, your call is important to us" messages :o)
