Well, there's a new argument for the pro-lifers...
I'm not drunk, but there's a snake in my pants
Liquid oxygen dripping upwards
We're being replaced
There's a ring around the sun
Preparation. I've got a lot to do, at least I feel up to it today. Yesterday, I had a nasty headache, my stomach was doing odd things, and I just generally felt like vegetating. Got some rest, it all went away. Worry not, booful lady, you didn't make me sick. So today, I've got to get my butt in gear. On hold right now with DFCU about setting up a savings account and credit card, maybe even dump TCF. They've been nothing but a pain in the ass, but they're readily available. Hell, there's a TCF that's open until 7 PM in the K-Mart just down the street from me. None the less, they suck. Well, now I know that DFCU does, too. It may just have to be Downriver CCU. Just got off the phone with my parents, they've laid it out to me that I don't need to do any kind of maintenance to the account, so it's not an issue of having a bank close to home in the first place. Of course, when I move in September, I may have to switch banks again, but I don't think they'll catch on so quickly that I no longer _work_ in the Downriver area. Heh heh heh.
I fucking hate money. It's nice, yes, but this is just too much hassle. I'll be glad when it's over, and all I have to do is keep myself from dipping in to it. In other news, I'm going to stop by Harmony House tonight to pick up tickets for Bad religion and Nick Cave. I'd like to get together with my old friend Alex for the Bad Religion show, considering how much he talked about the band when we worked together, but I think he's out sick today. Dunno, I've got plenty of time to get a hold of him.
Hard drive and video card are in the mail, this is my last few days of running NT4 at home. I'm going to miss that poor OS... But it's time to move on *sniff*. I'm going to completely gank my existing drive from the machine, put the 60 gig in, load Win2k on it, get my drivers installed, then drop the 13.6 gig back in. As long as the 60 gig is the first bootable device on the IDE channel, it should work. It's going to be a tremendous bitch reinstalling/recombobulating all my programs to load in the new OS, but I think I'll only have real troubles with Corel and Eudora. I did Eudora once without having to reinstall, I should be able to do it again. What's the end result? Being able to leech from AudioGalaxy and Morpheus again, and USB support. Yes folks, I'm getting a webcam. Looks like the Kodak DVC325 for me. There's apparently no other interface available for them any more, and NT4 doesn't support it. Well, it doesn't support DirectX, or Plug & Play for that matter...
